  • 2021 Election Results

    Congratulations to our newly elected  board members!!
     
    Vice President: Elaine Cook, PhD, RN
    Dr. Cook has been elected as our new Vice President and will serve in this position for two years from June 1, 2021 until May 30th, 2023.  Dr. Cook has been the BSN Advising Coordinator for Mount Mercy University's nursing program. Dr. Cook would like to share a little bit about herself with you:
    "In my nursing career, I have enjoyed the opportunity to explore a wide variety of professional focus areas such as rural acute care, geriatrics, nursing administration, and a research focus of Geriatric Policy and Law from the University of Iowa. My most recent professional opportunity is in graduate level teaching and undergraduate advising through Mount Mercy University. It has been an honor to mentor hundreds of undergraduate nursing students and watch them mature into skilled and excellent practitioners."
    We welcome Dr. Cook as the new Vice President of the Kappa Xi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. 
     
    Treasurer: Jen Siemering, MSN, RN
    Ms. Simmering has been elected as our new Treasurer and will serve in this position for two years from June 1, 2021 until May 30th, 2023. She is currently a Clinical Specialist in Cardiac Services at Mercy Medical Center. Ms. Siemering would also like to share with you a little bit about herself.
    "I am a recent MMU MSN graduate. I am employed at Mercy Medical Center. I would like to foster new professional connections and continue to grow my skills as a nurse leader."
    We also welcome Ms. Siemering as the new Treasurer of the Kappa Xi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
